Hi all,
I have been struggling with how best to incorporate you all into my Tarot Offerings. Do I include extra bits at the ends of the weekly emails? Do I do completely separate ones? Do I do anything different at all and just ask people enjoying the newsletter to support me financially?
So I’m trying this one out…
A separate little email blast every two weeks or so (probably on a Wednesday) to give you extra tips, cards or practices.
I hope you like it.
If you don’t, or if you have other ideas about this little tarot community we’re building please get in touch.
I would love it if you guys would leave any sort of comment letting me know how you like this. If you like this? What more I can do for y’all?
Ok, begging for chit-chat over.
New Moon Magic 🌑(a little late)
Last week we saw the New Moon in Aquarius. on the 21st.
During the day I was working a pretty long shift at my day job and going through a bit of a tumultuous time emotionally. Lots of things had come to ahead and kept crashing down on me. A smile breeze could have made me cry. Anyone else feel like that?
If I had been feeling a bit more astrologically inclined I would have remembered that the airy feel of Aquarius where both the moon and the sun found themselves was going to be a rough one. On aeroplanes, they no longer call it “turbulence” but “rough air”. Mostly I think to scare the passengers less. I should have just reminded myself that there was likely to be some rough air. Some emotional upsets.
While I feel like there was something to be learned from the feelings os Saturday, I can’t yet be sure what. So I just pulled a card for interpreting that day. For however each of us was feeling last Saturday.
Aquarius New Moon: Page of Swords
It always makes me giggle when the element I’m talking about astrologically shows up in the tarot reading. In this case, it’s air.
Swords indicate thoughts and their wielding. Just like a sword, a thought can cure (like a scalpel) or kill. In this card, the figure is holding aloft an idea that is relatively new to them. We know this because it is the Page, the “lowest” of the court cards. They stand atop a green hill which is looking pretty windswept as behind them clouds roll in (or out, we’re just not sure). In the background are birds, travelling with the wind, and even the figure’s hair seems to move with it.
This speaks to be of being so caught up in an idea, an ideal. Of being moved by it. And within that comes certainty. Or some sort of clouding of anything other than this one reigning thought.
How have we let ourselves get swept away this week? How have we clung to an idea? What has it shown us? What have we latched on to?
I would love to hear about it from you. If you don’t feel comfortable commenting publicly then I’m also available by email.
And just a quick reminder that all my offerings are sliding scale to make them as accessible as possible. If you want a written, recorded or live reading for yourself or someone else, let me know. I am also always available to chat and always open to trade etc.
Catch you in the ether,
M
