Hi everyone, I’m so happy to be making my way into your inbox. For the first time! Thank you to everyone who has subscribed, I hope my offerings help you ease into the week ahead.
On the farm, where I work, the harvest has been slowing from the summer rush. We are beginning to wind down towards winter and with that comes more time for celebration. This week Mercury will once again retrograde, which means that now more than ever communication can get a little frazzled. But with this, stilted or even stagnant conversation can come the bubbles of things formerly left unsaid. Look out for the re-emergence of people and ideas. Sit with them, and give them the mulling over they deserve. Even if you don’t speak about it until a little later.
This week’s general card is 4 of Wands reversed. In this card we see a figure resting under the bows of a tree, an unclouded sky behind. In front of them are three cups with a fourth being presented as if from the blue by a hand protruding from a cloud. In its upright position, this card makes me think of not biting off more than you can chew. It speaks of not only making do with what you have but having the emotional capacity to be thankful for a gift but wise enough to say no. In the reversed position it is calling you to really realign with what you want. Are the three cups enough? Are they filled with delicious and enticing liquids? Are they standing empty, waiting to be filled?
Over the coming days consider how you are supporting your vessel emotionally, and how your body is feeling. And where in your body you are feeling things. Is what is being presented to you aligned with where you would like to be going? Are you content with sitting in the shade for a moment longer and waiting for the right opportunity to present itself?
Let me know how this card is resonating with you. What are the emotions it is bringing up? Or if you're reading this later, how do you think it wove its way into your week?

♈ Aries: March 21–April 19
King of Pentacles: Laden with fruit and abundance the king sits on a throne adorned with bulls. Pentacles, being earth energy, speak here of material possessions and success. This week will feel like the culmination of a goal for you, though you might get overloaded with grapes to get there. Under all the heavy fruit, the physical manifestation of your labour you might feel a little pressure. But remember that these heavy blessings can always be transformed into something else. Wine or raisins perhaps. Capricorn also got this card this week, but I feel more resistance from you, Aries. Can you let yourself enjoy this?
Ask yourself: How am I sitting with my abundance? Where am I overgrowing/overflowing? How can I remain serine but also celebrate what I have achieved?
♉ Taurus: April 20–May 20
Three of Cups Reversed: This card chimes in with the general reading for the week. The three of cups is a wonderful reminder to seek emotional support from those around you. And to bask in the bounty of their friendship. The trailing vines of the pumpkin on the floor always make me think about the myriad of seeds inside and all those exciting little possibilities that a night with friends can hold. Within capitalism, this card also speaks of ensuring your support systems are robust. That they are caring for you and in turn, you are caring for others. On a deeper level, this card being reversed suggests some neglect of the ties of friendship and a need for strengthening them.
Ask yourself: Where have I been forgetting my friends? How can I reconnect with joy? On my own and with others. Where are my support systems and how do I nurture them?
♊ Gemini: May 21–June 21
Two of Wands Reversed: With gray skies and gray parapets, the figure at the center of this card is a shock of colour: deep blood red and orange. In the distance, outside of this card’s gray framing is a colorful horizon. In the hands of the figure, there is a globe suggesting travel, change, and action. Where you are now may feel dreary, heavy and constricting. But looking into your future is the potential for expansion, for growth. Tieing this in with the general reading, in your case, it is likely a good idea to take the opportunities presented to you this week (as long as they align with your end goal) and help them to push you into a more colourful future.
Ask yourself: Where am I feeling trapped or distanced this week? What single step can I take to begin my journey? What actions must I stick with to head in the right direction?
♋ Cancer: June 22–July 22
Three of Swords Reversed: Oh what a card. I never know how to phrase the message of this card without sounding a little harsh. But then again, Cancer, you know better than others that sometimes the only way to get over something is to go through it. This card, with its grey cloud and heart, struck by three swords always seems to get a visceral reaction. It screams heartbreak. But that isn’t always the case. In the reversed position I like to think of it as a warning. Don’t break your own heart. And how do you avoid that? By not letting your thoughts overtake you, not letting the storm clouds gather. Easier said than done for sure. Forgive yourself and let yourself breathe this week. Let yourself be.
Ask yourself: Where am I working kindness towards myself into my daily habits? Where do I need forgiveness? Where can I release pain?
♌ Leo: July 23–August 22
Queen of Wands Reversed: This card reeks of summer to me, the yellow colour used, the sunflower motifs, and the lions decorating the throne. It feels like the Queen of Wands was built for you Leo. And at their feet, the black cat of intuition, guiding your actions. This queen gets shit done. But here is the flip, your card is reversed. In a card echoing your ferocity, maybe you have lost your sense of self. This, I feel, ties in with the general reading for this week. Sitting with yourself and seeing where you need to be realigned. Take stock of all you have achieved this summer, of the hearts you have conquered and the flowers that have followed the sun’s path. And let yourself be still in it. Action is not always needed.
Ask yourself: How have I been acting on my intuition? Where do I feel I am lacking courage? What parts of my life are needing compassion and rest?
♍ Virgo: August 23–September 22
Two of Cups Reversed: Just like with the general reading you are focusing on your emotions this week, Virgo. The two of cups, depict two figures joining into some agreement, be it marriage or otherwise, is a card of harmony. In the reversed state it seems to say that you do not need to find this emotional balance from external sources but instead from inside. We all have both feminine and masculine aspects inside ourselves, finding the harmony between them, and tapping into our own well of knowledge can be refreshing. This card can also speak of disjointed or unharmonious relations, the rolling hills of a relationship that can make you feel like your emotions are about to spill over.
Ask yourself: What am I getting from others that I can also give to myself? How am I feeling disharmony in my daily life? How can I return to a space of balance?
♎ Libra: September 23–October 23
Three of Pentacles: This card is one of practicality, of finding your place in the scheme of things. Within the card, three figures are assembled to build something bigger than themselves. There are planners/architects and there is a sculptor; transforming their vision into reality. Neither could do what the other does and within this there is such an important lesson. You don’t have to do it all. And nor does anyone else. There is space for each of us in making a better world. This week you may be searching for how you can get more involved with your community or with a movement that is close to your heart. Finding where your skills are and knowing how to wield them will lead you to how you can help.
Ask yourself: Where do my passions and my talents intersect? How can I work with the skills of others to make something bigger than us all? What vision am I trying to make a reality?
♏ Scorpio: October 24–November 21
King of Wands: This card has the colour scheme of summer turning into Autumn. In the same vein of transformation, the salamander that sits at the King’s feet is transformed by fire. This week may feel a little like that, but it can also be a profound time for making changes and actions towards your big goals. And since when have you been afraid of a little heat, Scorpio? This card is one of cyclical rebirth and taking account of your part in things. Tieing back in with the general reading, make sure you are aligned with your values this week.
Ask yourself: Where have I seen the most change in my life? What actions lead to this? Where have I rebuilt after destruction? Have I given myself space to recover from this?
♐ Sagittarius: November 22–December 21
The Tower Reversed: Ooop. Disaster averted. But what have you learned? This week you seem to have having a brush with fate in one way or another. This card, which depicts a tower being struck by lightning, in flames, with people falling from it, isn’t always received well. And tbh it’s a little overkill. But aren’t there times that really do feel like that, where everything is going wrong all at once? This week you get that chance to avoid one of those times. But from getting a little too close for comfort you might just learn something about yourself. Notice where you have had a lucky break this week, where things could have gone a lot worse. There is the lesson.
Ask yourself: How am I using my intuition? What can I learn from close calls? In times of chaos, how can I reconnect with the present moment?
♑ Capricorn: December 22–January 19
King of Pentacles: Interestingly you got the same card as Aries, though I think you will feel the earthy pull of this week just a little bit more, Capricorn. Laden with fruit and abundance the king sits on a throne adorned with bulls.
Ask yourself: How am I sitting with my abundance? Where am I overgrowing/overflowing? How can I remain serine but also celebrate what I have achieved?
♒ Aquarius: January 20–February 18
The Hierophant: Power structures, am I right? But seriously Aquarius, you see right through them. This card, with its deep grey columns unmoving and unyielding on either side of the central commanding figure. It screams power, and in a way that just doesn’t jell with you. The richness of the figure talks of inequality and gatekeeping. This card feels like something you might want to tear down. While it speaks of conformity to you, there can be some wisdom to be found within the traditions of the hierophant. What matters is decerning what you can use and what you cannot.
Ask yourself: What systems am I participating in? What parts of them work well? What needs transfromation? How can I merge my own path with those that have gone before me?
♓ Pisces: February 19–March 20
Ace of Wands Reversed: Just like in the general reading this card has a hand coming out from thin air, presenting in this case, Action. But unlike in the 4 of cups, the skies of this card are grey, overcast;unreadable. The landscape beyond brings a pop of colour, something to strive towards. But what’s being called into question is the way to get there. With this card in the reversed position, spontaneous action may not be your best course this week Pisces. Make sure you have sat with your intentions before you set out, or you might be caught a little unprepared.
Ask yourself: What currently needs changing in my life? How can I proceed with caution? How am I making sure I am aligned with my end goals.
